Ticketmaster and Live Nation - Worse than the Mafia
Excellent article in the LA Times on a possible Live Nation/Ticketmaster merger.
Petition to have Ticketmaster disclose all fees at the beginning of the transaction.

| I just got an email from John G, he had to pay an $8 Ticketmaster "convenience" charge on top of his $20 ticket AT THE DOOR. What in the hell is up with that? Why is House of Blues taking a ticketbastard tax at the door? venicemike also wrote that the HOB website had a ticket price of $27.50 but when he showed up at the door he was hit with an additional $5.00 ticketbastard tax. THAT'S FALSE ADVERTISING!!! | |
| Please email (my email address is at the bottom of this page) me your Ticketmaster experiences and fees for the Ticketbastard Tax Tracker. If you could also include whether the venue has their own box office for advance ticket sales or whether Ticketmaster is the only outlet I'd appreciate it. I'm mostly looking for fee-related submissions but I'd also be interested in hearing any info about inside selling of high demand tickets. | |
