I just wanted to let you know about my experience with Ticketmaster. I am a single mom, I lost my full-time job of 15 years after restructuring and have only been able to find part-time work. My daughter and I saved for a whole year to go to Chicago on a bus trip to visit the Shedd Aquarium. Well, the only way you can buy tickets online to the aquarium is through Ticketmaster. First of all, I have dial-up (believe it or not, a lot of us still do have dial-up) and the page kep timing out so I couldn't even order them from home! My boss was nice enough to allow me to order them from work. I was never informed of the extra charges and ended up paying SIX DOLLARS extra for EACH ticket!!! The extra money could have paid for lunch for my daughter and I while we are at the aquarium. I have already emailed the aquarium and expressed my total displeasure and disgust at their online purchasing practices but doubt I will hear anything from them. I am totally PISSED at Ticketmaster for this ridiculous charge! But what makes me even angrier is that I was NEVER INFORMED of the extra charges until I had already clicked on the submit button-so I was stuck paying the price. Ticketmaster DOES suck-BIG TIME!!!
