I love your website! Ticketbastard, indeed! Get a load of what they are doing to me...I live in Atlanta, and am a long time Atlanta Braves fan. When single game tickets went on sale this spring, you couldn't buy tickets to the Yankees or Red Sox series...you could only buy them in a multi-game package or season tickets. But you could sign up for a drawing to win the right to buy single game tickets to these series...well imagine how excited I was when I received an email notifying me that I had won the right to purchase tickets to these games! The max you are allowed to buy is 8 tickets...so I went online last Friday, May 29th at the appointed time, 10am, and purchased my tickets. I first used the search criteria, "Braves side", which came back with serious nose bleed upper level section seats...I tossed them back, and changed my search criteria to "Best available", which came back with 8 seats, in the All You Can Eat Outfield Pavilion (weird I know...the Braves are not doing very well these days and so they are getting creative to try to increase attendance!) so these tickets were offered at $32.00 per ticket...well outfield is better than upper nose bleed, plus free dogs so I bought them. Told all my friends and we started planning the party! The next day I get an email from ticketmaster informing me those seats in the all you can eat section should not have been part of the pre-sale and they incorrectly sold them to me!!! (at which point I'm thinking, sucks to be you...you sold them to me, I bought them and I expect you to honor them!!) They then go on to tell me that I have 2 options...option 1, I can authorize them to charge an additional $23.00 PER TICKET!!! Or option 2, I can authorize them to offer me 8 seats somewhere else in the stadium, at the same price point that I paid already. (which realistically is probably in the nose bleed section...and no free food!) Ok, so let's back up here a second...the tickets I bought, I find out later, normally go for $40.00 a piece, so not only did they not bump the price for those seats enough because it's a premium series...they decreased the ticket prices by $8 a piece...what morons screwed that up?!! I'd love to know if there are many others out there that are getting screwed or did they realize their mistake before all of those seats sold. Have you ever heard of Ticketmaster screwing up this bad?? All for now, take care! Pat |
